Alan Co-Founded Automated Business Solutions and has served as President since 1992. For over 25 years, it has been Alan’s dedication to customer service that has led ABS to become one of New England’s most respected office technology providers. With an accomplished background in Sales, Alan’s ongoing desire to provide superior service throughout New England led him to initiate strategic business acquisitions in CT and MA. As President, Alan remains at the forefront of the day to day internal business and external customer activities to ensure EVERY customer has a positive experience with ABS. In Alan’s free time he enjoys coaching soccer, boating, traveling and spending quality time with family. He resides is South Kingstown with his wife Nicole and has 3 children; Cassandra, Alan Luis, and Mason.
Bobby has been Vice President and co-founder of Automated Business Solutions since 1992. He is a life-long resident of North Providence, RI. He has been married 28 years and has 2 children. Bobby attended Our Lady of Providence High School and attended RI School of Electronics, where he earned his degree. He has been in the Office Equipment business since 1983. He enjoys Golf, Skiing and Music.
Vice President of Sales
Tom has been in the office equipment industry for over 20 years. Starting with Automated Business Solutions in 1997, he has participated in the growth of ABS from one location and 18 employees to our current status of 4 locations and over 50 employees throughout New England. Originally from Connecticut Tom resides in Rhode Island along with his wife Sue and daughter Sarah.
Vice President of Business Development
With a successful career focused on developing people and running high performing Sales Operations, David joined Automated Business Solutions as its Vice President – Business Development, effective April 2019.
David started his career in 1996 working for Canon in the NY Marketplace. He swiftly made his way up the Management ranks and relocated to Rhode Island in 2009. David has held various Leadership roles within both the Dealer and Manufacturer community. This experience has provided David with a unique perspective on how to best respond to the evolving needs of our local market. David thrives in creating a business climate that yields new business growth. David has a BA Economics from Hamilton College and a MBA in Marketing from St. John’s University. David resides in East Greenwich and enjoys spending quality time with his wife Elizabeth, his daughter Emily, and son David.
Todd J. Fitzsimons
Director of Business Development
Todd J. Fitzsimons is the Director of Business Development at Network Imaging in Southington, Connecticut. Fitzsimons began his career in the document solutions industry in 1989 working for a local Canon dealership. Fitzsimons is currently on the Board of Directors for Central Connecticut Chamber of Commerce. He is actively involved in his church and lives in Burlington with his wife Michele and four sons.
Director of Managed Services
Born and raised in Lincoln, RI, Steve is a graduate of St. Raphael Academy in Pawtucket and Bryant College. Starting his IT career in 1999 at OneBeacon Insurance, Steve quickly moved into management roles due to his management and educational background. He has held IT Management roles at Dell Services, working on the Blue Cross/Blue Shield RI account for 5 years as a Project Manager and then as the IS Systems Support Manager. Steve entered the Managed Services area of IT in 2014, serving as MSP Manager for 2 New England based MSP’s, until joining Automated Business Solutions in 2019. Steve’s combination of skills and experience, along with his “customer service first” attitude, make him the perfect fit to help ABS develop and improve the Managed Services side of the business.
Steve lives in Coventry with his wife Kerri, and has 2 sets of amazing adult twin daughters and one incredible son. He enjoys as much time as possible with his kids and family, along with running and fitness, golf, socializing with friends, and working in the yard.
C.F.O. – Chief Financial Officer
John lives in Cranston, RI with his wife and two children. John is a proud Cranston High School West alumnus. He graduated from Bryant College with a BS in Accounting. He earned his MBA in Accounting from Providence College. John is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and possesses over 15 years’ experience in the office solutions business, including 8 years at Automated Business Solutions.
J Andrew Weeden
Director of Service
Andrew has been in the office equipment industry for 28 years and has enjoyed every bit of it. He has extensive training in all aspects of the business and is schooled on Kyocera, Sharp, Canon, and Lexmark products. A lifelong resident of Connecticut he currently resides in Newington, CT with his wife of 22 years and his 3 children. His hobbies include running, golfing, biking & playing the piano.
Sales Support Manager
Jennifer has been with Automated Business Solutions for 14 years, and continues to grow with the company as their Sales Support Manager. Jennifer is a current Warwick, Rhode Island resident. She is a Lincoln High School Graduate, and received her Accounting Degree in June 2005 while attending the Community College of Rhode Island.
Laurie is a graduate of Hanover High School in Hanover , NH. and was a communications major at Keene State . She has been a resident of Smithfield, RI for the past twenty years with her husband and two children. Her outside interests have been in the Arts and Music having studied in New Hampshire and toured throughout New England . Laurie has been with Automated business for 1 year and is new to the office equipment industry. She looks forward to growing with Automated Business and this fast paced Industry.
Director of Administration
Susan is a current East Providence, Rhode Island resident. She is a Shea High School graduate. She comes to ABS, with over 29 years of industry experience. Susan has been married to her husband, Jonathan, for 26 years, and has a son, Zachary, 17. She is an avid volunteer for AYSO youth soccer, and for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
Customer Service Manager
Mark grew up and graduated from south Kingstown high school and has been a resident of Charlestown RI for 9 years. He has been married for 24 years with 3 children, 3 grandsons, and a beautiful new granddaughter. He has been with Automated for 16 years and he brings a great deal of experience, passion, and leadership to the position.
Rhode Island Service Manager
Paul has been a technician with Automated Business Solutions since 2001. He is factory trained on Kyocera, Sharp, Canon, Standard Duplicator, Kip, Lexmark, and OKI data. In his tenure with ABS, he has received several awards recognizing his dedication providing quality service and technical ability. As a field supervisor he provides technical training and assistance. He aims toward achieving higher levels of training to provide the best customer support.
Connecticut Service Manager
Keith started at Network Imaging in 1994 when the company only had one technician. Since then, he has been fully factory trained on Kyocera, Sharp, Lexmark and Kip wide format to name a few products that the company now supports. In 2008 he was Senior Field Technician and in January 2015 was promoted to Service Manager for CT branch.
Massachusetts Service Manager
Gary has been in the office equipment business for more than 25 years. He graduated with honors from Wentworth Technical School-Business Machine Technology Course. Gary is factory trained on many major brands that include Kyocera, Canon, Sharp, Lexmark, Minolta and Toshiba. In addition to factory training he has also completed many on-line training courses from various brands. Gary currently resides in Kingston, MA with his wife of 31 years. His hobbies include golfing, music, home improvement projects and spending time with his family.
